We know only the love of Christ will defeat the powers of evil. As both clergy and laity, we must again return our lives to ways which imitate Christ. As clergy we must again grasp that ancient missionary style of preaching…most often through our daily actions, and less often through mere words. If we are speaking words of the Gospel while abusing vulnerable children and adults, millions more of once faithful Roman Catholics shall continue to leave what they see as a modern wicked Roman Catholic Church.
Our bishops and their ongoing legal protection of current ordained homosexual infidels does not help either the people of God or Jesus Christ. This ongoing scandal brings tears to the victims, their loved ones; and to our dear Lord and Holy Redeemer. I have no doubt Christ weeps in the company of His Holy Mother. Blessed Mary also weeps and countless tears fall from the holy cheeks of Our Lady of Sorrows. As clergy we MUST change by choosing to imitate Christ rather than living in evil ways of worldliness.
We have choices…Sexual abuse of children, raping vulnerable adults, homosexual predation, active ongoing homosexual love affairs, adultery; added to established public episcopal cover-ups, telling public half-truths, even outright lies; and the destruction of evidence and the ongoing protection of credibly accused priestly sexual infidels and abusers… all these evil ways combined have produced a confused and deeply wounded and seemingly chaotic Roman Catholic Church. All these evil ways have produced the most powerful forces of evil to ever confront the faithful Catholics here in America.
This immoral snowball will continue to destroy our Church. It will only be stopped when the good priests and faithful lay Catholics are willing to forcibly and in the Public Square announce the clerical names, the places of crimes and possibly the names of clerical sex abuse victims whose lives were profoundly wounded and tragically even lost to the evil despair which always results from clerical sex abuse. As priests we MUST imitate Christ!
This in both fact and history is the one and only correct Truth! Sex abuse and clerical infidelity are not acceptable options! Never will be! For this behavior by priests is always evil, and destructive of our one, holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. History confirms this cold reality! Look around you. Millions of Catholics are gone! As clergy, let us rebuild Christ’s one true ancient Church.
Read Isaiah 1:2-5. As a Church we can restore Christ! We must acknowledge that our current Church is gravely harmed. Read these few words from Isaiah, “The whole head is sick. The whole heart is faint.” This is today’s Church. Our lives are NOT our own lives. God gave them to us. In return, Christ asks us to again take on the holy mantel of the missionaries. He calls us to repent, change and more fully become ordained men whose hearts are afire with our ancient Faith. Our Lord, binds us closer to being, and more fully becoming ordained missionary servants giving our impoverished lives unto all peoples; and most notably unto the least among us. Without Christ, we are powerless, absent purpose and rudderless. We must again humbly become men of God, able and willing to serve the strangers in our midst, the quiet and humble widows and the forlorn orphans. We must become men of God who are awed by the simplicity yet holy lives lived out by our parishioners and others who might briefly enter into our daily lives. We are so privileged to serve the suffering and dying, the weak and the simple ones. May we be humbled in those hours when we can love and serve our enemies. Christ did all these things and so much more. These humbling qualities of priesthood beckon us to share in, and together pursue, the renewal of our individual and shared priesthood. I suggest, we put aside our evil ways and choose to walk humbly in the company of Christ. Christ is now and always shall be our best option.
Together let the good among us faithfully strive to destroy the horrendous evil ways which permeate today’s Church. Let us awaken and be startled by the evil reigns of these past decades. May we destroy the powerful evil forces and people whose own selfish and evil sexual wants, and personal human indifference have destroyed the Catholic Faith of over thirty million current Catholics. Let us follow in the footsteps of Christ rather than in the ways of wretched men. Let us pray: May we forevermore change and become truthful and blessed priests, bishops and humbled servants of Christ. Amen.
